Prediction Time Launch 1st November
Countdown is on for Prediction Time launch
A Shropshire businessman is hoping to hand someone a cool £1million – all they have to do is predict the future.
Andrew Reeves is the founder of Sonic Games, a company which creates specialist high quality puzzles that sell across the world for up to £25,000 each. To date the company has sold more than 100,000 puzzles, but the designer is now turning his attention to an online event game called Prediction Time.
The first game begins on November 1st and will see players answer a general knowledge question and then predict the outcome of a 10 second video clip, every day for 28 days. There will be a different general knowledge question and video clip each day. The first, introductory game, costs just £10 to enter and is limited to 200 competitors who are in with a chance of winning £1,000.
Andrew said: “The great thing about Prediction Time is players can use a mixture of skills and expertise to improve their chances of winning. A lot of people play the Euro Millions Lottery, where their odds of getting the jackpot are 140 million against. Winning through a lottery is just about luck, whereas my game requires knowledge and strategy, along with the ability to predict the future more accurately than others playing against you.
“A leadership board will be constantly updated, so players can see how well they are playing compared to their fellow game members. To get players into the game we are starting off with a £1,000 prize. After that first game the prize money will increase each month, we hope the grand prize of £1million will be handed out to someone next year.”
Sonic Games has been making luxury puzzles for 15 years from a design and operations unit based in Shrewsbury. Currently its limited edition 24ct gold and diamond puzzles sell for £25k each.
